Skandia: Multi-asset top selling class in 2013

Multi-asset funds were the top selling asset class for the majority of 2013, according to sales figures from Skandia.

Multi-asset funds took the largest proportion of sales every month last year except for May, when it was beaten by demand for UK fixed interest, and in November when demand was highest for UK equity funds. On average nearly 30% of sales each month went into multi-asset funds in 2013, which Skandia said reflects the ongoing trend for outsourcing investments in a post RDR environment.
