Invesco Perpetual sells out of Woodford small caps amid rising outflows

Invesco Perpetual has begun selling down positions in some of the small and mid-cap companies held by Neil Woodford ahead of the manager's departure in April.

The group yesterday sold its entire 92m share stake in Assura Group, a developer of care properties, bringing to an end a multi-year investment in the business. Last week Invesco Perpetual has also sold 1m shares in defence group Chemring, 1.3m shares in doorstep lender Provident Financial, and 300,000 shares in specialist insurer Lancashire Holdings, according to regulatory filings.
