ATS names ex-Cofunds man head of intermediary sales

Alliance Trust Savings has hired Damian Smyth from Cofunds to head its intermediary sales team.

In his new role, Smyth will lead the intermediary sales team as well as the development of the platform's intermediary channel. Smyth joins from Cofunds after 13 years at the platform, most recently as head of the sales development team. Alliance Trust Savings managing director Patrick Mill said: "Damian's platform background and the fact that he has been involved in the growth of Cofunds from its beginning means that he is ideally placed to develop the intermediary channel for Alliance Trust Savings and the continued expansion that is planned."
