Ex-Cofunds chief executive Eppinger joins Old Mutual Wealth board

Old Mutual Wealth Management has appointed ex-Cofunds chief executive Charlie Eppinger to the board as an independent non-executive director.

Eppinger (pictured) previously spent ten years at Cofunds as chief executive and non-executive chairman. He announced his intention to step down in May after the acquisition of the platform by Legal and General was completed. Eppinger founded International Financial Data Services (IFDS) in 1995 where he served as chief executive officer for 13 years until 2007. Old Mutual announced it had entered into a 20-year contract with IFDS in August which will lead to it outsourcing its administration from 2016 onwards.
