SJP places Woodford's mandates under review

Wealth management firm St James's Place is reviewing two mandates managed by Neil Woodford after yesterday's shock departure announcement.

Woodford currently runs a £1.2bn UK High Income mandate and the £116.6m Strategic Managed funds for St James's Place, which are available exclusively to their clients. However, after the announcement yesterday that the star manager is to leave Invesco Perpetual in April the group has placed the mandates under review. The wealth manager said: "In the time until Neil's departure, the committee, working closely alongside Stamford Associates, will reflect on the options available and determine the best course of action for the benefit of our clients."
