Richard Buxton's decision to leave Schroders for Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) in March has helped boost a number of UK equity funds as investors switched holdings.
The fallout from Buxton's departure, perhaps set to be mirrored in the UK Equity Income space once Neil Woodford leaves Invesco Perpetual next April, has had a notable impact on UK equity fund flows. Data from Morningstar shows Julie Dean's Cazenove UK Opportunities, Nigel Thomas' AXA Framlington UK Select Opportunities, and the Majedie UK Equity fund are among the big winners since Buxton's exit.
