Skandia: Rising demand for UK equities in Q3

UK equities overtook global specialist funds to become the second most popular asset class on the Skandia platform in the third quarter, with multi-asset funds remaining in the top spot.

UK equities accounted for 19% of net sales in the third quarter, up from 13% in the second. Global specialist funds dropped from the second most popular asset class to third while UK fixed interest funds fell three places down to sixth over the same period of time. Multi-asset funds remained the most popular option, accounting for 31% of total sales. They are at their highest share of flows so far this year, according to Skandia.
