Santander for Intermediaries to replace Abbey

Santander is to replace Abbey for Intermediaries with a new brand from Wednesday 17 July.

The lender has made the decision to bring all its intermediary products under the same brand and will launch Santander for Intermediaries next week. Santander said that this would bring the broker channel closer to its main brand but that its individual mortgage products would continue to be offered to customers under the Abbey banner. Miguel Sard, managing director of Santander for Intermediaries, said that the changes reaffirmed the bank's commitment to the intermediary channel.
