Today the Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) released its research, spanning five years, into the shape of the adviser marketplace. Here IFAonline breaks down its findings into the key numbers.
#1 Goodbye As the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) deadline loomed the number of adviser staff fell to 23,865 in 2012, down 9% from 26,339 in 2011, and down from 27,080 in 2009. Click next page #2 Smaller firms The average number of advising staff per firm has also fallen, down from 5.06 in 2009 to 4.66 last year.
