In recognition of those firms that are pulling out all the stops to give high-quality advice to internationally-mobile clients, this year's Professional Adviser International Fund & Product Awards includes an award for the Best International Financial Planning Firm.

The award is open to financial advisers and planners based in the UK that specialise in offering financial advice and tax planning services to those working and living outside their normal country of residence. One change due to come into effect in April 2013 is the start of the new statutory residence test, which not only looks at the number of days spent in the UK, but also factors connecting a person to the UK, including available accommodation and family.
