Fleming named new Threadneedle CEO

Threadneedle head of distribution Campbell Fleming is to become chief executive of the asset manager as current CEO Crispin Henderson moves to a new role at parent group Ameriprise Financial.

Henderson will become vice chairman of global asset management at Ameriprise, with Fleming taking over as Threadneedle CEO after a handover period. The appointments are subject to regulatory approval. Both men will report to Ameriprise global asset management CEO Ted Truscott. Fleming, a member of Threadneedle's executive committee, joined the asset manager in 2009 from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he was managing director of its UK business.
