FSA confirms McDermott as enforcement boss

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has appointed Tracey McDermott as its director of enforcement and financial crime, a position she has held in an acting capacity for the past 16 months.

McDermott took over the position in April 2011 on an interim basis after Margaret Cole, who has since left the organisation, became managing director of the Conduct Business Unit. She said: "This is a particularly exciting time to be part of the leadership of the FSA as we look towards the new regulatory landscape and I look forward to working with colleagues to help to shape the future direction of the FCA."
