Professional advice on long term care funding is imperative - Partnership

The elderly and their families need to seek professional advice on long-term care funding, Partnership has urged.

Almost 60% aged 75 to 85-year-olds said that they did not want to go into a residential care home, according to the latest Partnership Care Index. And 57% of respondents over 75 said they would prefer to rely on domiciliary care services instead. Chris Horlick, managing director of care at Partnership, said: "The attitudes of the older generations towards their own needs are changing and they are very keen to maintain their independence as they get older.
