FSA suspends adviser on suspicion firm 'is controlled by others'

An insurance broker has had her permissions to carry out regulated activities cancelled by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) on suspicions that her firm is being controlled or managed by others.

Sole trader Nasreen Begum Hussain, trading as My Insurance Solutions, has been issued with a first supervisory notice, explaining why the regulator believes she is not in day-to-day control of the business. Among the activities she no longer has permission for are advising on investments and assisting in the administration and performance of a contract of insurance.
