Auto-enrolment will curtail small business growth - Beecroft report Auto-enrolment (AE) requirements should be slashed in order to help businesses grow, a controversial report commissioned by the department for Business, Innovation and Skills has recommended. The Report on Employment Law, in which senior Conservative Party donor Adrian Beecroft suggests ways of cutting red tape, said auto-enrolment will "reduce the number of jobs in the country by 60,000" at least by preventing small businesses from expanding.
