Osborne: Treasury did not leak Budget details

George Osborne has expressed anger that key aspects of his Budget were leaked to the media - but denied anyone from his Treasury team was responsible.

Speaking to the Treasury Select Committee, he said no minister in his office disclosed information about changes to tax allowances ahead of his Budget earlier this month, reports the BBC. In perhaps the most leaked Budget of all time, major tax changes - including the headline reduction in the top rate of tax from 50p to 45p - were well known in advance of Osborne's presentation to the House of Commons.
