Skandia pulls plug on platform comparison service

Skandia has removed a price comparison service from its PlatformWatch tool due to "lack of cooperation" from other platforms.

The platform said the due diligence tool has been discontinued because rival platforms are unwilling to provide it with pricing data. It also said other price comparison services are now in the market which advisers can use. "We built PlatformWatch for advisers when there was no other comparison service in the market.," said a spokesperson. "Others have now copied this and so given the lack of co-operation from some other platforms now is the right time to close the price comparison element."
