Cherie Blair firm's FSA authorisation claim vanishes

The Allele Fund, a company co-founded by Cherie Blair, has removed a claim on its website that it is authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

The FSA today told the Telegraph it has no knowledge or record of the Allele Fund, which invests in healthcare and technology companies. A spokesperson for the fund told the paper that its website does not claim to be authorised. In its current form, the site makes no such claim. However, a cached version of the website dated 29 December 2011 states: "In the United Kingdom this website is issued by Allele Fund, which is authoriSed and regulated by the FSA."
