In this week's quick fire poll we ask: Lord Lipsey voiced concerns in the House of Lords last week that the Dilnot proposals "were in danger of going down the pan." Do you believe we need to refocus on the issue of long term care funding?

Over two thirds (67%) of those who answered the poll said they thought fixed term annuities would be a major growth area. This was followed by impaired/enhanced annuities which were mentioned in 22% of cases. Asset backed annuities were mentioned by more than one in ten participants with 11% saying they believed they would form a main growth areas in the annuity market.
