Skandia kicks off fantasy football fund game

Skandia has launched an educational fantasy fund football game for consumers with a total prize fund of £25,000 up for grabs.

The game, which kicks off on 7 December, has been endorsed by the Financial Skills Partnership and uses football as a medium for helping people understand the essentials of building and monitoring an investment portfolio. Under the rules of the online game, ‘team managers' will build, manage and monitor a team of funds representing attackers, midfielders, defenders and substitutes. The goalkeeper represents cash.  Initially £10,000 will be alllocated to the goalkeeper and £9,000 to each of the 10 outfield players. Team managers then choose their starting line up of 10 investment funds...
