Meet 'The Dark Spartan': financial adviser and superhero

A south-west based financial adviser has been living a double life as a costumed superhero called The Dark Spartan.

The 27-year-old, only known as Will, patrols the streets of Torquay on Friday and Saturday nights, in an outfit described as a cross between a riot officer and a gladiator. He will feature in a documentary to be shown on Channel 4, First Cut: Superheroes of Suburbia, on Friday evening, the Guardian reports. The Dark Spartan even has his very own sidekick called the Black Void, who is a comic bookshop worker who wears a Spiderman costume and carries a cane.
