Platforms are falling short on service levels despite this being one of the main reasons advisers switch between providers, research suggests.
A Defaqto survey polling more than 230 advisers found platforms are failing to meet advisers' expectations in eight out of the ten most important service categories, including 'ease of doing business'. The shock findings come despite the fact more than half (53%) of those surveyed said they had changed provider for service-related reasons. Furthermore, those aspects of service which are meeting adviser expectations are considered less important than those areas not making the grade.
