Advisers need to consider the "hugely significant issue" of service standards when undertaking what can be an arduous platform due diligence process, according to Defaqto.

Costs and charges is just one of six key areas advisers should focus on when selecting a platform, suggests the research company's guide to platforms, with financial strength, availability of tax wrappers and the vital aspect of service all important areas to be considered.
