Hargreaves: Emerging markets retain strong pull

Aberdeen held onto the top spot on Hargreaves Lansdown's ISA fund sales chart in April as emerging markets continued to remain a strong theme despite recent political turmoil.

For the second consecutive month, Aberdeen Emerging Markets claimed pole position on the Hargreaves ISA table in April, followed by Artemis Global Energy and Artemis Strategic Assets. Income funds also performed well, with Invesco Perpetual High Income and Invesco Perpetual Monthly Income Plus in fifth and sixth place respectively. In addition, Hargreaves said its range of Wealth 150 funds have performed robustly since January - despite stock markets experiencing a volatile three months amid geopolitical tensions in North Africa and the Middle East and the Japanese earthquake.
