Russell launches ETF business

Russell Investments, the index provider behind over a hundred ETFs worldwide, has unveiled its own range of "Investment Discipline" ETFs on NYSE Arca.

The launch of Russell ETFs has been long anticipated in the US, with the firm's initial Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing dating back nearly two years. Russell has since assembled a team of industry experts and its acquisition of independent ETF provider US One has allowed it to accelerate its plans. The first family of Russell ETFs offers exposure to US large cap equities on the basis of "six investment disciplines commonly practised by professional investment managers."
