IndexIQ launches Hong Kong small cap ETF

US provider IndexIQ has listed its Hong Kong Small Cap ETF on NYSE Arca.

The issuer said its fund is the first of its kind to provide dedicated access to the small-cap sector of Hong Kong's equity market, which it claimed is an important component of the region's recent economic growth. Seen as a providing strategic access to neighbouring China, Hong Kong has benefited from having a relatively liberal free market culture and is ranked second in the World Bank's ease of doing business index.
