St James's Place new business soars 32% in 2010

St James's Place reported total new business (APE) hit £581.8m in 2010, a rise of 32% compared to £440.8m the previous year.

There was 37% growth in total single investments to £4.75bn, from £3.46bn in 2009, with funds under management reaching a new high of £27bn for the wealth management group. This was up £5.6bn over the year as rising markets also boosted assets. Meanwhile, SJP's partnership numbers rose 6% for the year to 1,552.
