PosSol relaxes fund research rules for partners

Positive Solutions is easing the level of fund research required when recommending governed, managed or model portfolios following partner feedback.

Previously, the Aegon-owned national IFA said it needed evidence of research for each individual fund within the portfolio in partners' suitability reports. Advisers said the requirements were "excessive" as they were not recommending individual vehicles. "The requirements have been reviewed for fund evidence of research where governed, managed or model portfolios have been recommended," partners were told in a statement.
