BBC's Today Programme cancelled as staff strike over pensions

Several high-profile BBC journalists walked out this morning in a strike against the broadcaster's proposed pension reforms.

Radio 4's popular Today Programme was cancelled as its team, including host John Humphries, walked out. Journalists on other Radio 4 programmes including The World At One are also on strike.. Radia 5 Live's Nicky Campbell also went on strike, with BBC1 news journalists Huw Edwards and Fiona Bruce expected to join in later today. Thousands more BBC journalists who are members of the National Union of Journalists are taking part in the 48-hour strike.
