Britain is now home to more than 280,000 millionaires representing some £1.3trn in wealth, according to the latest research, in an indication the UK's economic health is improving.
A study conducted by London-based CoreData Research UK in July and August suggests the UK boasts 284,317 sterling millionaires, representing 1.1% of UK households. "The number of millionaires is partly a reflection of the economic opportunity that exists in modern Britain and should allow others to seize their own chance to grow a business, be successful and boost economic growth," says CoreData Research principal Craig Phillips.
