The DWP claims 56% of employers and 64% of eligible individuals support government plans for auto-enrolment into workplace pension schemes.
Its findings have been released as the government conducts a widespread consultation on workplace pensions reform. Already, several leading pension providers, think-tanks and advisers have issued concerns about the current proposals but the DWP has today published results of a survey saying the scheme is widely supported.
