Govt pensions reshuffle sparks demand for retirement advice

Retirement advice is in higher demand than any other financial service following the Government's recent overhaul of the pensions' system, suggests a report from Unbiased.co.uk.

Unbiased.co.uk's Advice Drivers report says 38% of consumers searching its ‘find an IFA' facility in July looked for advice on personal retirement planning. Searches for this type of advice also increased by 2% month-on-month. Investment and savings advice came second in the list with 26% of searches. Recent announcements and figures on the retirement age and annuitisation may have sparked the increased interest in pensions and savings, says Unbiased.
