Ex-Newton CEO Harris joins Brooks Macdonald board

Former Newton Investment Management chief executive Colin Harris has joined the board of AIM-listed wealth manager Brooks Macdonald.

Harris, also previously a deputy chairman of Newton, has been appointed non-executive director with immediate effect. He retired from Newton in 2002, by which time funds under management had reached a total of £22bn of institutional, private client and retail funds. Brooks Macdonald chairman Chris Knight says: "Colin has a wealth of highly relevant experience in the fund management sector that will be of great benefit to Brooks Macdonald. I am delighted that he has agreed to join the Board."
