FSA appoints Lesley Titcomb COO

The FSA has appointed small firms director Lesley Titcomb as acting chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately.

She replaces Mark Norris, COO since February 2009, who leaves the regulator to pursue fresh challenges. Prior to becoming director of small firms in February 2007, Titcomb (pictured) was director of regulatory transactions - a role she held since January 2006. She joined the Securities and Investments Board in 1994 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young.
