Peter Hall takes reins at Bestinvest

Former UBS and Barclays man Peter Hall this week took over from John Spiers as Bestinvest chief executive.

Spiers (pictured), who quit in March, continues his 25-year association with the firm as joint chairman of its asset allocation committee and non-executive director and shareholder. Hall, who had been confirmed for the role since March, says: "As a client myself and previously as the managing director of competitor businesses at UBS and Barclays, I have always associated Bestinvest with the highest standards of professionalism and great value for money."  "I have also been impressed by the rigorous, independent research at Bestinvest which supports top quality advice."
