Sanlam beefs up new distribution department

Sanlam UK has bolstered its newly-established distribution department with two senior appointments from Canada Life and Buckles as the company looks to partner IFAs in the post-RDR world.

Chris Allatt (pictured), who started his career with a 10-year stint at the old Inland Revenue, joins as senior technical consultant from Canada Life where he was senior tax consultant. Rick Eling joins as head of IFA investments from Buckles Investment Services where he designed and built the firm's risk-profiling, asset allocation and portfolio selection tools.
