Germans to mount legal challenge over Greek bail-out

The eurozone's bail-out scheme for Greece has been plunged into disarray after four German academics said they will legally challenge the rescue plan.

The four German professors are set to challenge the bail-out package at Germany's constitutional court and ask for an injunction to block the transfer of German funds, reports The Telegraph. They will ask the court to investigate whether the European Central Bank has contravened EU rules and whether the loan package rescue plan - which the IMF has also singed up to - constitutes an illegal subsidy.
