Pru UK chief to lead Asia integration

Prudential's chief executive of UK and Europe Rob Devey has been appointed to lead the group's planned integration of its Asian business with the AIA Group.

Taking up the new role with immediate effect, Devey will continue to have board level oversight and responsibility for Prudential UK and Europe. However, to ensure the continued delivery of the UK strategy, Pru has named new deputy chief executives of its UK and Europe operations. Pru's retail life and pensions managing director Barry O'Dwyer and finance managing director Andrew Crossley have become the new co-chief executives, with day-to-day responsibility for the operational management of the business.
