Reputation key for advisers' product recommendations

The financial strength and reputation of providers are the two most important factors for advisers considering recommending their products to clients, research suggests.

More than a third (36%) of 500 advisers surveyed online by Zurich said financial strength was the most important consideration, while 29% cited reputation. Meanwhile, advisers and their clients remain concerned about the return of capital rather than return on capital, with 35% of respondents citing easy access to capital as the fourth most important consideration in any client recommendation.
