Invesco offers funds of ETFs in Canada

Invesco Trimark, a subsidiary of Invesco, is offering a range of mutual funds comprising PowerShares ETFs in Canada.

The suite of PowerShares mutual funds are designed to outperform traditional market capitalisation weighted benchmarks, by using a range of indexing strategies including fundamental indices. Invesco says the indices provide access to global regions or niche markets that could otherwise be difficult or costly to tap through traditional mutual funds. Invesco Trimark president Peter Intraligi says this offering packages the PowerShares ETFs in a mutual fund corporate structure which is tax-efficient.
