Schroders has posted a £3.7bn net retail inflow in the third quarter of the year, as the asset manager's strong 2009 continues.
The group also saw a £3.3bn in net institutional flows for the three month period, driving its total funds under management to £138.9bn. Schroders has been one of the top selling groups for the intermediary market this year, with the firm recording a £6.2bn net retail inflow for the first nine months of the year, £6bn of which has come from April to end September. It has bounced back strongly from the £3.1bn net retail outflow it saw in the fourth quarter of last year. However, the group's profit before tax and exceptional items fell 19% to £57.8m in Q3.
