Friends Provident has unveiled a programme to encourage members to take a more active interest in their defined contribution scheme investments.
The life and pensions firm says the alternative lifetime investment programme offered a "middle way" to investors looking to take a more active role in their pension investments decisions - rather than simply accepting the default fund option. The lifetime investment programme allows investors to choose a pre-determined investment schedule throughout the life of the plan.
