Rathbones in talks to acquire Lloyds' discretionary arm

Rathbones is in discussions with Lloyds over the sale of the banking giant's non-core private client discretionary management activities.

The discussions principally surround Lloyds’ Bank of Scotland Portfolio Management Service. Discussions are ongoing, but both groups say there is no certainty any transaction will proceed.
