IFA Helm Godfrey is embarking on a recruitment drive, but says it wants individuals with the mindset to become 'life planners', not just financial advisers.
The firm says advisers should begin focusing on a clients' personal needs and aspirations rather than simply what financial products they need. According to managing director Bruce Wilson, not until you have helped a client understand what they really want out of life can you begin to advise them on their finances.
