Helm Godfrey brings new meaning to 'holistic' advice

IFA Helm Godfrey is embarking on a recruitment drive, but says it wants individuals with the mindset to become 'life planners', not just financial advisers.

The firm says advisers should begin focusing on a clients' personal needs and aspirations rather than simply what financial products they need. According to managing director Bruce Wilson, not until you have helped a client understand what they really want out of life can you begin to advise them on their finances. "To me, life planning takes the whole ‘new model adviser' initiative to the next level," he says.
