Schroders' retail revival continues with £2.3bn net inflow in Q2

Schroders has recorded a £2.3bn net retail inflow in the second quarter of the year, as the asset manager's strong start to 2009 continues.

The retail figure was part of £3.9bn total net sales during the quarter, with the group seeing a £1.6bn net institutional inflow, reversing the £2.4bn institutional outflow in Q1. Schroders had posted a £200m net retail inflow in the first quarter, which stemmed the strong redemptions it suffered during the market turmoil last year. In Q4 last year, the group had recorded a £3.1bn net retail outflow. The group says its investment performance has been strong in most asset classes, with 80% of funds outperforming their respective benchmark over the year to end June and 77% outperform...
