Investec Asset Management has launched the GSF Global Franchise fund investing in high quality names which are attractively valued by the market.
The $77m Luxembourg-domiciled fund aims to achieve long-term returns by investing in a concentrated global portfolio of between 20 and 45 companies. Businesses targeted will be chosen for the quality and value of their franchises and will be attractively valued by the market. The fund will be managed by Sam Houlie, head of Investec Asset Management's equities team in South Africa, and Mark Wynne-Jones who will act as deputy portfolio manager.
