PHILIP SCOTT Aviva...stepping down Aviva chief financial officer (CFO) Philip Scott is to step down at the end of the year after 36 years with the insurer. He joined Norwich Union as a trainee actuary in 1973 before progressing to chief investment officer and then chief executive of Norwich Union Life, where he played a key role in the merger with CGU in 2000. In 2002, he became executive chairman of Norwich Union Life, and became chairman of Morley Fund Management two years later. Scott took on the role of Aviva CFO in July 2007.
