Free client segmentation 'toolkit' for IFAs launched

A series of seminars offering insight into how best to segment a client base, with a particular lean toward high net worth (HNW) clients, is being launched for financial advisers.

The free events, hosted by Principal Investment Management and entitled 'Profitable Know-How', will illustrate to advisers how to identify and target wealthier customers, and how to tailor their propositions accordingly. Some critics of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR), a consultation paper on which is set to launch next week, say its proposed rules, specifically the introduction of adviser charging, will limit holistic financial planning services to wealthier individuals only.
