The FTSE 100 has added 14.35 points (0.34%) to 4248.40 this morning despite news the outlook for jobs in the UK is worse than the 1990s recession.
National trade union TUC says the current jobs outlook is more like the recession of the 1980s. Thomson Reuters leads the way after announcing plans to abandon its London listing. It will remain on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges however. The media company is 5.46% to £17.20. Lonmin is leading the miners forward as bid speculation continues to surround the sector. It is 1.92% higher to £11.70. British Airways has begun to rebound from yesterday's sharp decline, up 1.77% to 126.80p.
