THE outlook for European commercial property is "very positive", according to Tim Francis, director of continental European strategy and research, at Invista Real Estate Investment Management.
Its flagship European property fund, Invista European Real Estate Trust (IERET) achieved returns of 17.7pc over the full year 2006, comfortably outperforming the IPD Eurozone Index, which achieved total returns of 10.1pc and Francis sees scope for a further improvement this year. “Evidence from 2007 so far suggests that European property performance has continued to improve on the back of buoyant global and European economic conditions and strong property leasing markets.
